What Makes Us Unique?

These days there’s no shortage of different types of olive oils sitting on your local grocery store shelf. Olive oils from Greece, Spain, the U.S., as well as our home country of Italy can be found easily, but often the many different labels and descriptions on the bottles can seem rather overwhelming.
There’s virgin, extra-virgin, refined, extra light, single-sourced, filtered, unfiltered—the list goes on and on—so how can consumers feel confident that they’re getting the best quality, trusted olive oils for the price paid?
The short answer is, oftentimes they can’t.
The unfortunate fact is that some of the olive oils commonly found in grocery stores aren’t as genuine as you might think. Did you know that there are olive oils sold in the U.S. that are blended with other low quality seed oils such as canola or soybean? It’s important to know what you’re cooking with—and what you’re putting into your body—which is why here at Vignoli we proudly stand behind the quality and integrity of each and every bottle of extra virgin olive oil and our Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP, as well as our other gourmet specialties.
See for yourself why Vignoli is the trusted name when it comes to Extra Virgin Olive Oil:
1. At Vignoli, we specialize in the production of 100% unblended, cold-extracted Extra Virgin Olive Oils, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP, naturally flavored EVOOs and balsamic vinegars, as well as gourmet pantry specialties like our made-from-scratch pastas, sauces, and tapenades.
2. When it comes to our single-sourced, first cold-pressed EVOO, unlike many other olive oil producers who source from a single olive grower, we are able to choose which olive groves and regions we harvest our olives from because our Founder and CEO, Claudio Vignoli, is able to press each batch of olives using only olive mills that he personally trusts. This gives us a clear advantage over single source producers since we can shift our production as needed to procure the very best olives at the most opportune times.
3. Climate change is an ongoing threat, not only to our earth but to the fate of our agricultural communities including those that grow and harvest olives. Often, farmers and growers live or die by the seasons. All it takes is one hard freeze or a month of heavy rains for an entire crop to be wiped out. Because we have the ability to move to where the best olives are currently being grown and harvested, whether that is Tuscany, Puglia or Sicily, we are able to navigate and circumvent extreme weather conditions.

4. Also, unlike other artisan producers, Claudio oversees the entire distribution channel by serving simultaneously as producer, importer, and distributor. This allows Claudio and his team to oversee all elements related to distribution, from selection and production to packaging and shipping. We ship our Italian-sourced olive oils and balsamic vinegars in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks direct to our state-of-the-art facility in Miami, where we then bottle each one individually on site to order.
What else sets us apart?
We select and use only trusted olive mills to process our olives.
